Calibration

Calibration, the most important process for color management contributes to accurate and consistent color reproduction. Calibration can be classified as density adjustment on the output sheet using a relay unit (RU series) and as advanced calibration. For the advanced controller calibration, "Exact Color" and "G7 Calibration", both supports not only te CMYK but also the mixed colors are available.

Color Configuration Management

A function unique to “Color Centro” that allows best-suited color setting as if you are using “Favourite”. In the case where complex settings or repeat use of the same setting are required, efficient operation is ensured by using this function. Color configuration is a set of five different information, and allows collective conversion of colors by integrating multiple profile sets into one. In addition, automatically selecting a profile set that is closest to the one that should be applied to helps automatically apply the best suitable setting.

Profile Management

Color Centro can manage various print files for color prints including those stored in “Local” or “Network” computer and print controller. In addition, with Color Centro, you can register maximum 50 files (10MB or less) in the print controller. Color Centro is capable of not only managing the profiles but also of creating and editing the profiles by activating “Color Centro Profiler”.

Color Configuration Management

With Color Centro, you can set the default for color setting used on the controller. The default color setting edited here will be applied to the files in the case when no specific setting is made on the printer driver, direct print is performed or the default setting on the print controller is selected.

Tone Curve Adjustment

Using the tone curve adjustment function of Color Centro, overall brightness or contrast of the image can be adjusted by varying each of CMYK. You can use a slider or drag the point on the curve to adjust. The result will be shown on the preview for verification. The resulted tone curves can be registered/stored, and called up to be applied to the output or you can select a curve and set it as a default. In addition, you can select from the printer driver a tone curve that should be applied to each job.

Spot color

Using the spot color adjustment function of Color Centro, you can create new spot color tables or edit the already-created spot color tables. There are 81 color variations available on the color patch sheet for fine adjustment. This enables to convert the spot color specified by the application into CMYK values defined by Color Centro for print. Spot color tables named as [CF], [DIC] , [HKS] and [PANTONE] are registered with the controller at the time of delivery. In addition, measuring the proof print with FD5-BT enables to create a new spot color.

Alternative color

A specific color can be replaced by other color by adjusting the output color compared to the input color. An approximate color is mainly used when you want to change the colors of illustration or text. Color Centro allows you to create, register, edit (setting/ adjustment) a new color in the print controller. Maximum 64 RGB settings and 64 CMYK settings (totally 128 settings) are available for the approximate color table contained in the controller.
